Hi Steph,
we are using kdevelop in a multiuser environment for large projects.
Version controll is done by CVS. So all projekts are hosted on a server
machine and we are working on local copies. After finishing our work we check
everything in which merges the changes.
A nice GUI for CVS is cervisia.
kdevelop is in general able to manage CVS but somewhat poor in that.
