bernd gehrmann started to rewrite kdevelop - so he did: 
 
G[ehrmann] IDE [integrated development environment]. and in a classical song

he was listening to there was something like gideon mentioned (gideon is a 
first name, too) - so that's the name :) 
 
(i asked him about that :)
