hi,

i don't whether this is related or not, but i had several programs compiling 
kde standard packages & kde apps on suse 7.3 as autoconf 2.5x conflicts with 
kde. downgrading to autoconf 2.13 (can be found at ftp.gnu.org or mirrors) 
solved my problems.
