I have no experience with KMail 5 in this aspect, but in 4.13 and 4.14 it works fine, \
even on Mac OS X. One thing that keeps surprising me is that you have to drag onto \
the message/text area; in particular it does not work for me when I drag an item onto \
the window section that shows the current list of attachments. That seems \
counterintuitive, but maybe the reasoning is that you're attaching things to the \
message, not to existing attachments.
