After some more time I experienced two more failures and both of them
caused the dreadful data corruptions, again. :-( Just checking that
the settings are still there:

~$ cat ~/.local/share/akonadi/mysql.conf | grep "flush\|sync"
sync_binlog=1
innodb_flush_log_at_trx_commit=1


Yep, they are. And this is just a reason for why I have to wipe the
data base. I'll post this info to the bug report, too and open a MySQl
bug, as well.
