i had a similar problem a while ago - something to do with the file format of
most flash usb (FAT16/32?) - I reformated to differnt filesystem and it
worked! sorry I can't remember which way round it was!!! but I found it by
googling :)
I get Kwallet as a taskbar icon - you could try to add it as an applet?? - but
have never tried configuring it!
