No worries - it's not as though my concerns were the only thing you have
to deal with... ;-)

Bingo! I used the Debianized version, to try the worst case first, and
had the configuration set to copy handheld to PC. That ran fine.
Repeated entries do not translate well - they become one continuous
event, though the times are correct.
KPilot will crash if you wait more than about a minute to sync. It will
crash after completion of the sync - that is, it does if I try to sync
only the calendar. It crashes during sync of abbrowser, with a pop-up
I have not seen before, that has a Backtrace tab, but if you try to
select it the pop-up disappears. I did an upgrade of some K items
today, so that may be due to a yet-to-be-disclosed bug in something
else.
The same happens when I run KPilot from /usr/local.
The log is singularly uninformative, to wit:
Loading custom addressbook
KCrash: Application 'kpilotDaemon' crashing...
Any ideas? I have selected the addressbook file, instead of the
standard.
So far so good. Interestingly, last week the addressbook seemed to be
working.
Thank you
Cam
