Patrick, I see you are running kde 3.5.5, are you on a kubuntu edgy system? In that case, you can install a patched version of the kpilot from kde 3.5.5 which one of the developers has made available for edgy. It is here: http://ubuntu.lnix.net/edgy/updates/kdepim-proposed/kpilot_3.5.5-0ubuntu1.1~proposed_i386.deb It seems to sync ok. (It doesn't have all the conduits but the main ones are there.)
