Well, I've found the cause of kmail's problem, if not the solution. Gpg is
spawning lockfiles, but then taking 99% cpu time and getting no further. I
can only kill it and delete the lockfiles. I tried removing gpg and
reinstalling it, without success. I'm really stuck. I can use kmail on this
old, slow laptop, or thunderbird/seamonkey on my workstation.
