All I can tell you is that you are not alone.  I'm having a problem that is at 
least similar.  It hadn't gotten urgent enough for me to post about it yet 
(it's on my list), but I was looking forward to trying out any suggestions 
your message raised.  Please do let us know if you get it figured out.
