Werner,

That doesn't seem quite what I was talking about.  That bug/feature request 
seems to be about how to sort messages within a thread.  

I would like to sort threads within a folder view.  In my scheme, a thread 
would be positioned, using the folder sort scheme, where the most recent 
message would be if the folder was in unthreaded view.  Now kmail sorts the 
thread to the position where the first message would be if the folder was 
viewed unthreaded.
