This has  only started during the last few days, so could be a version issue.

If I receive a mail for which no gpg key appears to be available on the 
servers, sometimes there is a long delay while kmail tries to find one, but 
several times over the last few days there has been a complete lockup.

This system is FC4

Kontact container v.1.2.3
KMail v.1.9.3
KDE v. 3.5.3-0.2.fc4

Any ideas?
