USB drives are not automatically mounted on all distros, a lot of times the automounting is written by the distro maker so each will be different. I wrote a small hotplug script to mount mine and copy a few important files to it myself. -------- Original Message -------- > From: Australian Locating Services > Sent: Friday, June 23, 2006 4:30 AM > To: kdepim-users@kde.org > Subject: [kdepim-users] KDE and Operating systems, USB drive mounting problems > > Hi All, > Does KDE behave differently with varied distributions? > I have only used Fedora (with Gnome) and now Mandriva, with KDE. > Mandriva 2006 with KDE doesn't seem to have too many problems, other than not > being able to sink my Palm Tungsten E2 via bluetooth.... yet. > Regarding mounting problems.....USB hard drives are automatically mounted.
