Create a file /etc/udev/rules.d/10-palm.rules, which contains
BUS=="usb", KERNEL=="ttyUSB[13579], SYSFS{product}=="SAMSUNG CDMA
Technologies", GROUP=="users", SYMLINK=="pilot"
That tells udev to create a symlink named /dev/pilot if a USB device
identifying itself as "SAMSUNG CDMA Technologies" attaches itself to an
odd numbered USB port. Point kpilot to /dev/pilot
