Yes, that's right.

Kandy does some mobile phones. Kitchensync might eventually do other handheld 
devices. I'm not aware of any working solution for any other class of 
handhelds.

No.

To some extent it makes sense, if you can map the connection style of the 
pocketPC to KPilot and re-use the fairly similar database layouts - but noone 
has ever expressed real interest in doing this (lots of interest in _having_ 
it, but none in making it).

Yes, they also exist - but are syncing towards other desktop apps, not KDE. 
There is very little code sharing (on the _Palm_ front though, there is some 
cooperation with the various tools).

Kitchensync seems a likely solution.
