Looks like there is a small problem still
the shell script has four lines
cd /home/web
perl report.pl
kmail -s testing -msg mailtome.txt stuart_miller@shaw.ca
dcop kmail kmail-composer#1 activateAction send_alternative
when I click on the script in a window, it works properly
when I call the script from a konsole session, it works fine
when I call the script from a crontab entry, only the first line =
executes,
to update the report.
I had other cron jobs working, but they all ran as root with su web =
as
the first line.
This is my first attempt at automated mailings
I put the username web in the 'allow' file, and that must be ok because =
I
get the first line performed.
/var/log/cron/info shows the job has run. errors and warnings are =
empty
I tried the full path names /usr/bin/kmail and /use/bin/dcop =
but
this did not help
Any suggestions?
Stuart
