Well, first off would be to
a) make a backup of your pilot and korganizer data
b) copy that to backup medium
c) copy it again to a backup medium and post it to a safe place
d) download, compile, and install the kpilot tarballs from the kpilot.org
website. You may want to look at http://www.slac.com/adridg/kpilot_home/
instead, it is updated _now_, as opposed to sometime-tonight for the
official site.
e) try that

You might want to do

export CXXFLAGS=-DDEBUG

before running configure, that way you'll get lots of debug output.
Ideally, since you have the sources then, you can track down the beast and
crush it.
