Moving this to kdepim-users, since that's really the correct list for this (in 
spite of -pim being listing in KPilot's about box - -users is more fairly 
recent).

There's a troubleshooting guide on the KPilot website, under the FAQ. The 
important things are (1) get the kernel to recognize the handheld (2) get 
pilot-link talking to the device. After that, KPilot is easy.

Follow the guide: watch your system logs as you connect the Pilot and hit the 
hotsync button (without kpilot or anything running). Try pilot-xfer 
- -p /dev/ttyUSB0 -L ; if that doesn't work, try the other ttyUSB1 (or whatever 
seems likely based on your logs).
