Perhaps this is outside the scope of this discussion - as it is a VDG issue -
but the "Shadows" feature in the KDE4 version of Folderview appears to be a
highlight behind the lettering.  This makes it easier to read dark text when
you have a translucent dropdown on a dark or grey background.
