This will work if the Folder View's location is set to "desktop folder", which
internally uses the desktop:/ kioslave that produces the correct icons based on
.directory files in the subdirs, where the icon name is stored. It doesn't work
for normal file access, but Dolphin (KF5) behaves the same here. In any case,
this isn't a Folder View thing - this should be handled at the KIO level.
There's always the possibility FV is using KDirModel wrong, of course, although
I'm not seeing anything off-hand.
