Thanks all. Good to know this works for some hardware. It's not working for
mine (an MS Sculpt Comfort bluetooth mouse and trackpad on Acer Aspire S3-391)
on KDE 4.12.3 (kernel 3.14) in KInfoCenter.

Why does smooth scrolling only work in some apps (Dolphin, KDE Help Center) and
not others? Why not use the same method across the board, such as the one that
is not driver/hardware dependent?
