doh, forgot the most evident point in favor of removing this: the space used
for the button is the same used for the additional information?!
Maybe this button would actually make sense if some more details would be
shown, f.e. a size distribution histogram (files <5k, <50k, <1M, <50M, <500M)
or the file previews of the files flying by, so removing the button from the UI
for now might be the sanest thing to do.
