I confirm the results András has posted. I did the very same tests. When I
issue "kdesu dolphin" there is no kdeinit4.

I am running Bluewhite64-12.2, KDE-4.2.0 and dbus-1.2.6 (but we already know it
isn't dbus fault ;)

I tried that workaround (kdesu dbus-launch dolphin) and it really worked.
