Christophe: Since the dawn of computing the metric prefixes in association with \
computing has meant 2^(n * 10) for some value of n (at least in the vast majority of \
cases). This only because an issue after hard drive manufacturers started trying to \
oversell disk capacity by changing the meaning of MB and GB.
My understand was that this is supposed to be configurable somewhere that way we can \
get the "correct" units for either value of "correct". (I'm a MB guy myself) \
