First of all thank you for writing, we appreciate any exposure and any
interest we might receive.
My name is Darian lanx and I am somewhat the main organisator and one the
maintainer for the KDE Magazine project. Right now we are busy writing the
back-end for all possible authors.
That you do not have major experience with Unix/linux/BSD is nothing you
should be concerned about. It seems to us, that everybody can and should
contribute. Even though the KDE magazine does focus around KDE and its
"world" we also wish to present what it means to be with KDE, to use KDE and
the system and operating systems it runs on.
you can either submit your articles to editors@zine.kde.org or you request a
CVS account with me _privately_
Assuming that you have not worked with CVS before you might wish to learn
about it first, I am well willing to give you a few pointers on the subject.
Our content reaches from very KDE centric programming questions over  monthly
columns to general ideas about open source, the desktop development and the
like.
Maybe you are interested in writing a running on article about "me and KDE"
or something similar, it is utterly up to you.
The zine will be "printed" monthly with a _strong_ print magazine character.
