What is wrong with making it available OpenSource and using the existing
kde.org ressources?

So kde.org is ok for mirroring, but not for hosting???

I still do not understand why you oppose using the kde.org framework
apparently.

This is the second time kde.com vanished for a longer time. Something very
unlikely with kde.org ATM. Since the apps service is very important to the
project I think we finally reached the point where it should be possible for
a community to maintain it. I really appreciate the work you did put into it,
but this shows clearly the fault in the "one person does it aloneand closed"
approach.

Since you seem not willing to open the stuff and you do not give a clear,
detailed reason for it. I really think we should go with an open solution, to
avoid a complete loss of service.

Just my 2ct
