My latest information about the location of DCOP is seen below.
Unfortunately the specified directory
	      http://www.kdevelop.org/doc/addendum/

is empty. Searching via google returned

   http://developer.kde.org/documentation/library/dcop.html

which is a 404:
      The requested URL /documentation/library/dcop.html was not found
      on this server.

What: DCOP
 Where: From the contact
        <URL: http://www.kdevelop.org/doc/addendum/>
        ''that dir is empty by 7/2002''
 Description: Library for drag and drop support, with bindings for Java,
        Python, Perl and Tcl. Allows one to drag and drop between apps of
        any of these langauges. Conceptually like COM - a protocol for
        applications to speak to one another. DCOP is the interprocess
        communication protocol used under KDE - a lightweight alternative
        to CORBA.
