CMakeBuildSystem.py says:

set EMERGE_BUILDTESTS=True

this enables testing support and adds a KDE4_BUILD_TESTS=1 to cmake 
configure line

with self.subinfo.options.configure.testDefine  package related testing 
defines could be added.
