Hi,

some tests with more recent kde and wine:

- no much tricks are needed as before
- konqueror works, altough extremely slow and default start page is not rendered properly, "wine konqueror.exe www.google.com" causes a crash, using a directory as parameter causes a hang. Okteta also opens but hangs too. When trying to close 'wine desktop' both unhangs for a while, however konqueror does not list files.
- both "native" and "oxygen" styles work well
- dolphin and konsole fails with "fixme:console:AttachConsole stub ffffffff" - probably a wine issue
- in ark and kdevelop I get "Could not start process Cannot talk to klauncher: Not connected to D-Bus server."
- somehow kate and kdevelop's terminal does not try using cmd.exe and display "Warning: Could not start program '/bin/bash' with arguments '/bin/bash'."

(some screenshots attached)

I've tried to install mingw packages and I encountered this exact
problem again: if the "config.txt" file is in the same directory as the
packages the installer doesn't find it, if it's in "Documents and
Settings/Administrator.REACTOS/Local Settings/Temp/" then the installer
finds it. This could be however a React OS specific problem, as I don't
have encountered it under Wine.

If you want to read about my tests with mingw KDE packages under React
OS see this post in React OS forum:

Diego
