Hi Christian, Saro,

I had another issue with building, but unrelated to this problem.
Saro provided a workaround, and I got kdeedu apps built today.  I'm
very happy to report that the "This application has requested the
Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way..." problem appears to be
gone!
