Well, from what I have read, KDE 2.2 as well as KDE 2.3, which will be 
released at about the end of this year, will continue to be based on QT 2.x. 
After that, there will be KDE 3 based on QT 3.

Of course, what I have said above is not really any official information. I 
just saw a discussion about it on the KDE-Devel list some time ago, and 
that's what was said there.
