Hi,
I built kde-2.1 under linux. I have Lisa working, so I can see connected
machines, including windows machines if I enter lan:/ into the konqueror
location box. At this point, if I click on a windows machine, I see an SMB
folder, but if I click it, the konqueror gear goes around forever, but I
do not see the shared directories.

If I enter the smb address directly, ie
smb://acer/tmp
the same thing happens (or rather fails to happen!). If I do a command line
smbclient //acer/tmp
I get a passwd prompt and then I see the directory as expected.

There used to be an entry in the kcontrol panel/networking where you could
specify things about your smb mounts, but this seems to have gone away.

Any help is appreciated!

thanks,
murray
