Hi,

No, it's not.  Did you read all the comments about secure SSL with Java?  Try
the press release (http://dot.kde.org/980951106/) or the progress report
(http://www.kde.com/maillists/show.php?m=380889).  The short outtake:

  Applet loading via proxies and over https should work now.  Https support
  is achieved by using the JSSE (Java Secure Sockets Extension) classes.  
  They can be obtained from http://java.sun.com/products/jsse/.
