Get the rpms from
ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/unstable/distribution/2.1beta1/rpm/COL2.4/RPMS
Put them all into a fresh directory, get out of kde2 (maybe by logging into
kde1 ?) then in a text window descend into the dir holding the rpms & do
# rpm -Uvh --force *.rpm
