hi guys,

i have a problem starting kde2 on suse 6.4 with kde 1.1.2 installed. i
configured xsession + kdmrc like it is shown on kde.org and this seems to
work. but every time i start kde2 from kdm i get a message that something
went wrong with "setting up inter-process communication for kde". it says
it "couldn't read the network list" and that i should check if "the
dcopserver programm is running". when i launch dcopserver before i log in
on the kdm screen it says that the argument in networkIdsList is "null" and
that it failed to look the .Xauthority file. What's happening? When i start
kde2 after i started dcopserver the error messages says that "the network
socket couldn't be opened". i have no idea what's up. kde2 hangs after this
message although there's an "ok" button. i've installed the latest rpm's
for suse 6.4, downloaded on 28.06. can anyone please help me!

thanx a lot and greetings

organic
