Have you tried the Mandrake rpms from 
ftp://us.mandrakesoft.com/pub/kde 
or 
 http://us.mandrakesoft.com/~molnarc

These are produced by Christopher Molnar and are slightly newer than the
'official' 1.90 release, and with luck he should be updating them
within the next week.
