You should specify your KDE startup script either in the .startxrc file,
if you're
using startx, or in the .xsession, if you are using scologin.

e.g. .startxrc: -------cut here----
exec $KDEDIR/bin/startkde 2>~/.xsession-errors
-----------------------cut here----
