Subject: Kppp can't connect to X server

I've just installed the KDE 1.1.2 RPMs for Red Hat 6.0. Everything
seems to be working except Kppp.

When I start Kppp as a non-root user, a dialog box pops up and asks for
a password (what password is not specified). When I enter my password
(my primary user ID and root have the same password), a get an error
message that Kppp can't connect to my X server.

These RPMs do not make kppp SUID root. Instead /usr/bin/kppp is a
symlink to /usr/bin/consolehelper, and the actual kppp executable is in
/usr/sbin. Has anyone gotten this setup to work? What did you do?

Thanks!
