did configure found any Qt libraries ??

instalatinon (f.e. /usr/local/qt)
 
- try to set LD_LIBRARY_PATH="$LD_LIBRARY_PATH:$QTDIR/lib" too
- or you can edit /etc/ld.so.conf and add the line with qt lib directory
(and run ldconfig -v, of course) 

BTW: i think, that instalation from source *.tar.gz is easy (very good
README & INSTAL texts) so, you could reinstall it :o)
