I just installed Suse 6.1. It comes defaulted with KDE 1.1 as the WM for =
X. I downlaoded the "Ktinstall" script from the kde.org themes page. It =
is very easy to install themes with Ktinstall. I am running a =
PII-350/64MB SDRAM (PC-100)/6GB WD HDD. I have two problems:
1. I cannot find anywhere in KDE to select an installed theme on the =
fly. I have to run the "Ktinstall" with the theme name and when =
ktinstall executes, it removes the existing theme and installs the one I =
told it to. Is it possible in KDE 1.1 to select a theme on the fly? I =
looked everywhere and i cannot find the "Select Theme" option. ok on to =
nr 2:
2. After instaling a theme and it is active on my X desktop, My system =
locks up at various times when clicking on the title bar of a window =
(Bash for example), and holding down the mouse button and dragging the =
window. When I uninstall the theme the problem goes away. When it locks =
up i cannot CNTRL-ALT-DEL to shutdown nor can I do the CNTRL-ALT-BKSPCE =
to exit the Xserver. I have to reset the computer. Any suggestions??
Any help on either of these problems would be GREATLY appreciated. =
Thanks in advance. My e-mail is: srapisa@downcity.net
