Subject:    Using the keyboard

I would like to be able to do the followin, if possible:

Boot RedHat 5.2 to the KDE desktop and then,  without touching the
mouse, use the keyboard to select objects and open them.   Often, the
mouse is buried under tons of stuff and is not easily reachable or it
needs cleaning badly.

Will some one tell me how to do this?
