Subject: mime types and application bindings

I have two problems with mime type bindings in KDE.

1) I tried to bind html and shtml to Netscape with the positive result
that I now have Netscape as a context menu option. But kfm remains the
default binding. (That is, clicking on a html file in kfm doesn't open
the file in Netscape but in kfm.) How can I change that?

2) If in MS-Windows I open I file from Explorer into an application
which already runs, this application (mostly) isn't started again, but
the file is just loaded into a new window. Now, under KDE for every file
the application is started again - which normally doesn't make any
sense (it takes time and clutters your desktop and taskbar). Is there
any way under KDE to open files by clicking them without restarting
already running applications?
