Now my two bahts worth again. I'm in the same boat as LWT in Japan. Here
in Thailand we pay per call and then for each minute or fraction. This
adds up in a hurry.  I don't mind newbie type questions/replies if the
message contains anything useful. What I don't like are comments such as
this one from another list:

 I blocked out the names, but this is from a real message.  This isn't
helpful at all and is a total waste of bandwidth(this message probably is
too.)  You can usually tell when someone has read the fine manual or not
by the way the question is poised.

My pet peeve's are the sig file that takes up half a page or more and
quoting one and sometimes more messages then replying "Me too."

As far as looking at the subject lines before downloading the message,
well, it's been my experience that a lot of handy tips get put in old
message headers. That's not too clear, but I'm tired..

Yeah, what I also wanted to say was Happy New Year to all.
