ftp://ftp.kde.org/pub/kde/stable/1.0/contrib/distribution/rpm/RedHat-5.1/i38
6/binary/egcs and download all the binary files (not files with src or devel
in the name) and then follow the instructions they give in
README-2rh51-2-rpms to see how to do it for Redhat 5.0 ... it is in there
... trust me :-)  This really works ... I have done it on two new Redhat 5.0
installations .... and I have no problems up to now ...
