Hi Folks,
I'd like to specify my printing problems at KDE

System: i386, Suse 5.0 and KDE beta4.1 with HP Laser 4L connected 

Printing from a Winblows PC via Samba 			:WORKS !!!
Printing from Console using (fe. cat...) to LPR -Pxxx 	:WORKS !!!

Printing from KDE, that means KFM (File, Print (Datei/Drucken) )
or Netscape's Print, or StarOffice4.0 or...or...or....	DOESN'T WORK proper !!!

No matter which settings applied (landsc. port, A4, legal ...) the printout
starts too much at the top of paper so the "first row" is almost missing. 
Printing a mail from KMAIL uses too large fonts without the needed linespace.
So the rows are partly overwritten. (looks like 18pt instead of 10/12pt)

The KLJETTOOL didn't help me further ! 

Where can I modify settings concerning the printer ??? 
Wherefrom / how does KDE the printerdatas get/convert for sending to LPR
