you can get a decent generic 56K that is flashable to the ITU V.90 protocol for
$65 off http://www.pricewatch.com. You will be doing yourself and your machine a
HUGE favor by getting that windoze proprietary thing out of there.. winmodems
arent even supported in dos. As the 56k modems keep falling in price those
winmodems wont be worth $15 in real dollars soon. Of course places like Comp USA
will always have suckers.. but those ppl are the ones that end up paying people
to install modems anyway.
