Well, there are little differences between a kernel and a collection of
programs like a desktop enviroment. It's not very practical to use patches
between Beta1 and Beta2. But we provide patches, if you want to follow day
by day. In fact, there are only few programs, that provide patches between
versions. 
I've done a patch between Beta1 and Beta2 and it was very, very big, because
we added some programs and removed others.

So to summarize: No, there is no other way than downloading the whole
Neheim packages. If you do not want to, just don't do it. You can wait
yet another month til Beta3 or even for 1.0.
