I compiled Kmahjongg succesfully a couple of weeks ago, it really looks
GREAT !! .... :)
I haven't got the newest KDE ;( ...., but Kmahjongg compiled like this
overhere:
I took the auto-conf-files from Kmenuedit*.tgz, and did the usual
# ./co*re ; make
# I like wildcards :)

I just tried again now:
FuzzyVibe:/kmahjongg-0.2.0# make
/usr/local/qt/bin/moc kmahjongg.h -o kmahjongg.moc
c++ -O2 -Wall -fno-strength-reduce  -I/usr/local/qt/include
-I/usr/local/kde/include -I.. -I. -I../kfm/libkfm -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -c
kmahjongg.cpp
c++ -O2 -Wall -fno-strength-reduce  -I/usr/local/qt/include
-I/usr/local/kde/include -I.. -I. -I../kfm/libkfm -DHAVE_CONFIG_H -c
static.cpp
c++ kmahjongg.o static.o -o kmahjongg -s -L/usr/X11/lib
-L/usr/local/qt/lib -L/usr/local/kde/lib -L../kfm/libkfm -lkfm -lkdeui
-lkdecore -lqt -lX11 -lXext
FuzzyVibe:/kmahjongg-0.2.0#

The difference seems to be the -I/usr/X11R6/include ....

Hope this helps ;-)

[KChess]
BTW, I tried Kchess, very nice & interesting, BUT *the dark square has to
be in the leftcorner below*, (now it's the other way around), I looked in
the source, but as I don't see myself as a programmer at all, I haven't
found out how to change this, one other thing..Kchess is an KDE-frontend
for GNU-Chess, but IMHO there's a very very interesting alternative for
GNU-Chess, that's Crafty ! :)   ( ftp://news.cis.uab.edu/pub/hyatt )

Now Crafty (from version 11.something) can be used with Xboard, to start
it one would use :
[user]:$ xboard -size Small -fcp "crafty xboard" &

Could this be implemented in KChess ? Please ? :)

 Albert.         (Email: humo@pi.net)
