Has anyone conducted a usability study for KDE yet? Sun has done a pretty
good job for GNOME ( http://developer.gnome.org/projects/gup/ut1_report.pdf
).

I'm going to start working on a test focused at non-developers soon. If
there have been any prior testing that has been done that would be great to
know about.

Also what is the best place to get a high level overview of the technical
aspects of the UI? What is the windowing system, etc?
