These are some very good comments on needed features in applications to make 
it more usable.  My comments are dispersed throughout.

On KDE 2.1.2, it has Directory at the top of Create New in Konqueror and on 
the Desktop.  But being able to configure and rearrange them would be a good 
idea.  New users may not want to do this, but seasoned users would welcome 
the feature.

Having a configurable "Send to" option on the context menu would be a very 
nice feature.  I used this a lot in windows and would use it in KDE as well.  
While the renaming feature is a good idea, I've seen new users have problems 
with this in windows.  This is users that haven't got the timing down on the 
double click and end up clicking too slow.  Then when the app doesn't start 
either the click elsewhere or hit the keyboard.  This causes stuff to be 
renamed.  I've seen 'My Computer' renamed to just a period or garbage.  The 
user then wonders how to change it back.  But then again, I've used this 
feature in windows.

I'd like to see the user be able to rearrange bookmarks while the list is 
open.  Having it stay open when you add a folder in order to add a bookmark 
is a very good idea.

This could be a new option under the View menu for showing unread mail only.  
Having configurable columns in the folder view would be nice.  That way the 
user could see number of unread messages, total messages, and anything else 
they choose to see.

I agree, currently it's a double click and not very intuitive.

Easier navigation with a keyboard is a prevalent issue with KDE.  I wish this 
feature was implemented as well.

I'm waiting for the release of KDE 2.2 on Monday.  I'm currently using KDE 
2.1.2.  I think it has made a ton of progress and this Usability Study will 
add the polish that will make it usable and intuitive by any user that wants 
to use it.
